MEGAN READLER has been involved with softball for the past 21 years,
four of the last 21 as a coach and player. A former Coach at the
University of Chicago, Megan now gives private instruction as a
pitching and hitting coach at Line Drive in Bedford Park, IL and
North Shore Baseball Academy in Highland Park, IL. To her list of
premier student’s, Megan Smith of Finwick High School in Oak
Park, IL, who committed to the University of Wisconsin.
As a pitcher/outfielder at Kalamazoo College, Megan was elected
MVP and Captain during her ’97-’98 seasons, received
All-MIAA first-team honors, was selected as MIAA Player of the
Week and received the college’s award for Most Outstanding
Senior Female Athlete. She currently holds top pitching honors
for career strikeouts, career starts, innings pitched, and complete
games. In addition, she is the 2nd all-time leader for career
and single season wins. Readler’s Offensive honors do include
highest batting average in a single season and she remains the
career leader for runs batted in. She is 3rd on the list for RBI’s
in a single season, and career doubles. Still active, Megan spends
her summers competing for a nationally ranked 19+ Fastpitch team
in the Chicagoland area.
